BREEDING ATLAS

Independent fan-made planning tool

How Palworld 1.0 Breeding Calculator Works

This calculator bundles Pal Calc data v26 — 44,851 breeding records verified on 2026-07-19 — and runs entirely in your browser. No data leaves your device. Use it to look up breeding results, find parent pairs, or plan a species-only route from your owned Pals.

Three Tools, One Calculator

The calculator has three modes. Each answers a different question. Pick the one that matches what you want to do.

Find the Child (Parents → Child)

Question this answers: If I breed Pal A with Pal B, what child do I get?

Select two Pals as parents. The calculator looks up the known child from the bundled data. Same result regardless of parent order.

  1. Open the calculator. You'll see three task cards at the top. "Breed Check" is the first option.
  2. Pick Parent A. Search or scroll to select your first Pal. The list shows all 299 Pals from the bundled data.
  3. Pick Parent B. Select the second Pal. The child result appears as soon as both parents are chosen.
  4. Copy or share. Use the copy button to save the result, or share the URL to return to the same combination later.

What you'll see: The child Pal name and the A + B → C lineage equation. The data version and verification date on the result. A reminder to verify gender, passives, IVs, and Cake cost in-game.

Find Parents (Target → Parent Pairs)

Question this answers: I want this specific Pal. What parent pairs can breed it?

Select a target Pal. The calculator lists every known parent pair that produces that child, drawn from 44,851 records.

  1. Switch to "Find Parents". Click the task card or mode rail to switch modes.
  2. Pick your target Pal. Select the Pal you want to breed. Use search to narrow the list.
  3. Browse parent pairs. All valid parent combinations are shown. Parent order doesn't matter — (A + B) and (B + A) are the same result.
  4. Copy a pair or view in the tool. Use the copy button or switch to "Breed Check" with those parents pre-selected via URL.

What you'll see: A scrollable list of parent pairs. Total pair count for that target. The same data version and verification date on every result. A note if no combinations exist.

Build a Route (Shortest Species Route)

Question this answers: I have these Pals and want that Pal. What's the fewest breeding steps?

Tell the calculator which Pals you own and which Pal you want. It finds the shortest species-only route using graph search.

  1. Switch to "Build a Route". Click the task card or mode rail.
  2. Add your owned Pals. Type a Pal name and press Enter to add a chip. You can add multiple.
  3. Set your target. Select the Pal you want to breed toward using the picker.
  4. Review the route. The shortest species-only path is displayed as a vertical graph with numbered steps.

What you'll see: A route graph with each breeding step (Parent A + Parent B → Child). Total steps needed. A show-more control for longer routes. A copy button for the route.

Limitations: "Shortest" means the fewest species-breeding steps under this calculator. It does not optimize gender, passives, IVs, Cake cost, or resources.

Where the Data Comes From

This calculator bundles data from the Pal Calc project (github.com/tylercamp/palcalc) under its MIT License. It contains 299 Pals and 44,851 breeding records at data version v26, last verified on 2026-07-19.

Breeding rules can change after game updates. When data is updated, the version number and verification date on every result card will reflect the new version. Older results remain visible with a warning until you refresh.

What This Tool Does NOT Do

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this calculator guarantee I'll get the result shown?

No. Use it as a planning aid. The result is based on the bundled data, but in-game outcomes depend on gender, passive inheritance, IVs, and Cake mechanics. Check current game rules before breeding.

Does it work with the latest Palworld 1.0 update?

The bundled data was verified on 2026-07-19 against Pal Calc v26, which tracks the 1.0 release. If a new patch changes breeding rules, the data will need to be updated. Check the data version badge on any result.

How do I find a breeding route from my own Pals?

Add the Pals you own using the search and select tool, then set a target Pal. The calculator finds the shortest species-only path — fewest breeding generations — from what you have to what you want.

Does the "shortest route" account for passives or gender?

No. The route optimizes for fewest species-breeding steps only. Gender, passives, IVs, and Cake costs are not factored in. You may need additional generations in-game to get the right gender or passives.

Is this tool affiliated with Palworld or Pocketpair?

No. This is an independent fan-made planning tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Pocketpair, the developer of Palworld.

Is my Pal data sent to a server?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser. The data file (44,851 records) is loaded once, and all calculations happen on your device. Your selections are never stored or transmitted.
